INFORMATION TEXT FOR CUSTOMERS UNDER THE LAW NO. 6698 ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

IDENTITY OF THE DATA CONTROLLER

The Data Controller is VOLOVİTA TEKSTİL SANAYİ VE TİCARET LİMİTED ŞİRKETİ ("Volovita/Company"), which is fulfilling the obligation of informing the "customers" in accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 6698.

DEFINITIONS

E-Commerce: The buying and selling of goods/services electronically (via the internet).

Identity: Refers to Name, Surname, and Turkish ID Number.

Communication: Refers to the phone, email, and physical address provided by the customer at their own request.

Visual and Auditory Records: Photographs, call center voice recordings, etc.

Law: The Law on the Protection of Personal Data No. 6698.

Processing of Personal Data: Any operation carried out on personal data, whether automatically or non-automatically, such as collecting, recording, storing, maintaining, modifying, reorganizing, disclosing, transferring, receiving, making available, classifying, or preventing the use of data.

Customer Transaction: Refers to invoice, order details, bank account details, requests, complaints, suggestions, and similar information.

Transaction Security: Refers to website login/logout information, passwords, user details, user permission/access details, IP address information, and internet access logs.

Legal Transaction: Information from written communications with judicial authorities, case files, and similar documents.

Policy: The Personal Data Processing, Protection, Storage, and Destruction Policy.

Data Controller: Refers to the party that determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for establishing and managing the data recording system.

WHAT PERSONAL DATA DO WE PROCESS?

Personal data such as identity, phone, address, email, transaction security information, customer transaction data, and legal transaction data are processed for customers engaged in e-commerce activities with our company.

METHOD OF DATA COLLECTION AND LEGAL REASON

Your personal data is collected through automated or non-automated means during e-commerce activities, via application forms, contracts, information systems, electronic devices, customer requests, transaction documents, website, phone, automated calling machines, smart voice recording systems, emails, and SMS.

Your personal data is processed for the purposes specified in Article 5 of this information text, in accordance with the conditions and purposes of personal data processing outlined in Articles 5 and 6 of Law No. 6698, and under the relevant legislation including the Turkish Commercial Code, the Turkish Code of Obligations, and other relevant laws, in order to provide commercial services, contract execution, the protection and exercise of rights, and after-sales services (Consumer Rights), and processed under the relevant laws, including the Law on Electronic Commerce, the Regulation on Commercial Communication and Commercial Electronic Messages, and related regulations. Where processing of data requires explicit consent, your approval will be separately requested.

PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

Your personal data may be processed by our company for the following purposes in accordance with the conditions outlined in the Law and relevant legislation:

Personal data will be deleted or destroyed automatically, or upon your request, once the purpose for processing them ceases to exist. The processing period for personal data will not be less than the maximum periods set by relevant legislation.

TRANSFER OF PERSONAL DATA

Personal data cannot be transferred without the explicit consent of the relevant individual. In accordance with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law and the principles outlined in Section 6 of this Policy, personal data may be transferred by the Company to domestic and/or foreign entities. Personal data may be shared with authorized public institutions, professional advisors, auditors, authorized attorneys, IT companies, server and archiving service providers, banks, shareholders, and relevant real or legal entities, for purposes such as fulfilling legal obligations and conducting business activities.

WHAT RIGHTS DOES THE PERSONAL DATA OWNER / RELEVANT PERSON HAVE?

The rights of the relevant person are outlined in Article 11 of the Law. According to this, the relevant person has the right to:

a) Learn whether their personal data is processed, b) Request information about their personal data if it has been processed, c) Learn the purpose of processing their personal data and whether it is used in compliance with its purpose, ç) Know the third parties to whom their personal data is transferred, domestically or internationally, d) Request correction if their personal data is incomplete or incorrect, e) Request the deletion or destruction of their personal data as per the conditions set forth in Article 7 of the Law, f) Request the notification of the deletion or destruction of personal data to third parties to whom the personal data has been transferred, g) Object to any result that arises from the exclusive processing of personal data through automated systems that could negatively affect them, h) Request compensation for damages if they have suffered due to the unlawful processing of their personal data.

You can submit your requests regarding personal data processing by filling out the "Personal Data Request Form" available on our company’s website. Once you submit your request, we will respond to it within 30 days, depending on the nature of your request.
